DD5 Dubai number plate auction, 13-year-old bidder!

Dubai’s special number plates are auctioned annually, where the bidders often rage into bidding wars and win some of the most unique and expensive plates around the world. 

This year, it is the DD5 number plate which has auctioned for a staggering Dh35 million. Brought by a Dubai businessman, the special number plate was sold for charity auction.

However, the DD5 has still not broken the stupendous record set by the number plate ‘P7’. The ‘P7’ Dubai number plate was auctioned for Dh55 million back in 2023. It was brought by an anonymous businessman who has kept it to himself till now.

Earlier, the most expensive number plate in Dubai used to be owned by Saeed Abdul Gafar Khouri, who brought the number plate ‘1’ at Dh52.5 million back in 2008.
